The reggae DJ David Rodigan is to join BBC Radio 1 Xtra for a new Sunday evening show from February.
David Rodigan first presented on radio over 30 years ago on BBC Radio London and has since been inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame.
I am absolutely delighted to be joining BBC Radio 1Xtra where I can share my passion for both new cutting edge reggae and classic cuts, reflecting a genre of music which continues to play a paramount role in urban bass culture music.

The award winning DJ will also present a new 13-part series of his BBC Radio 2 show this summer, celebrating classic roots and reggae from the 1960’s to the present.
The new show will air from 7pm to 9pm each Sunday from 17th February on BBC Radio 1 Xtra.
