Some of the BBC’s local radio stations will no longer be transmitted on medium wave later this year.
The BBC has switched on a national DAB Digital Radio transmitter, increasing coverage of BBC National DAB stations to nearly 98% of UK homes.
Listeners in 16 parts of the UK are set to benefit from improved digital radio coverage.
