Stars join Heart, Capital FM and LBC to make some noise

Stars of music, film and television have helped raise more than £1.1m for charity Make Some Noise.

The celebrities dropped in to Heart, Capital FM, Classic FM, XFM, LBC and Smooth to take part in challenges and answer phone calls.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg took on former tennis player Andrew Castle who now hosts a phone-in on LBC. Taylor Swift took on a beatboxing challenge on Capital FM, whilst listeners calling to donate could find themselves talking to actor Ray Winstone.

The charity aims to use “the power of radio to make some noise for those who struggle to be heard,” with proceeds from the day and a Classic FM charity single set to go to children’s groups, hospitals and carers centres.
